
Samuel H. Norton
Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Norton has served as the Company’s CEO since its inception. Prior to Co-Founding SeaChange, Mr. Norton spent the 17 year period ending July, 2005 as a senior executive officer at Tanker Pacific Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., the Sammy Ofer controlled, Singapore based, tanker company. In 1995, Mr. Norton initiated and lead the entry of the Sammy Ofer Group into the container segment, and acquired and operated the first container vessels in the group’s fleet. Today, the group is one of the largest independent containership owners in the world with over 60 container vessels in its fleet. While at Tanker Pacific, Mr. Norton also conceived and started a related business, Tanker Pacific Offshore Terminals (TPOT), which owns and operates a fleet of floating, offshore oil storage terminals (FSO) and which is, today, a leading company operating in this specialized niche. Prior to joining the Ofer group, Mr. Norton played a lead role in the Asian distressed assets group of the First National Bank of Boston, a position which acquainted him with the shipping industry and the Ofer family. Mr. Norton holds a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Dartmouth College where he graduated in 1981
Yariv H. Zghoul
Co-Founder, President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Zghoul spent the period between 1999 and 2005 working in various management positions within the Sammy Ofer group, since 2003 as Vice President of Corporate Development for the Singapore based Tanker Pacific Management.
At Tanker Pacific, Mr. Zghoul was responsible for strategic development and multiple commercial functions within the company, leading several development projects as the head of a team of professionals and operators. Mr. Zghoul headed the Companys efforts to define a penetration strategy into the US refined product distribution and import market.
Prior to joining Tanker Pacific, Mr. Zghoul founded and headed Synergy Ventures (BVI) LP., a venture capital fund in partnership with the Sammy Ofer group, focused on enterprise software applications for industrial businesses. Mr. Zghoul held various board of director roles in portfolio companies, heading and negotiating M&A transactions, private equity investments and restructuring efforts. Mr. Zghoul holds an LL.B degree in Law from University of Haifa, Israel and an MBA from Stern School of Business, New York University.
